Coryroc

"When you come right down to it, there are only four basic prayers:
Gimme! Thanks! Oops! and Wow!"  - Rabbi Marc Gellman

"The true revolutionary is guided by a strong feeling of love" - Che Guevara

"There's no dearth of kindness
In this world of ours;
Only in our blindness
We gather thorns for flowers. "
- Gerald Massey

Ever since I learned about the English language, and, more specifically, poetry, (thanks mainly to Ms. Felty!) I've been interested in word play. I've come across some palindromes, which are words that can be read forward and backward and are the same, that I love. As I grew up, I could only think of the easy single words or two word palindromes. Ya know, words like "kayak" or "racecar." Of course, Mom and Dad fit into this simple category.

But now, oh boy, there are thousands of them popping up, some more "un-nonsensical" than others.
Here are my favorites:
Devil never even lived.

UFO tofu.

Evil did I dwell, lewd I did live.

Dog doo? Good God!

Madam, in Eden I am Adam.

Golf? No sir, prefer prison-flog.

Tis but a tub. Sit.

Maps, DNA, and spam.

Doom Mood.

Lonely Tylenol.

I'm a fool. Aloof am I.

Party boobytrap.

Do, O God, no evil deed! Live on! Do good!

Art, name no tub time. Emit but one mantra.

No devil lived on.

Test tube butt set.

Evil, a sin, is alive.

Won't lovers revolt now?

Yo banana boy!

O, stone, be not so.

Yeah, brain tickle.

I won't even get into oxymorons yet...oh, just one! And it happens to be the only grocery store in Tucker County....can you guess it?

Shop 'N Save.

Sheep

They must find it hard to take Truth for authority who have so long mistaken Authority for Truth.

- Gerald Massey

This idea come into my awareness of late, and makes all kinds of switches go off and connections get reconnected!

Massey's poems are wonderful. Ch-ch-check it!

And here is an unrelated video that The Rudeness put in my face. Try to stick out the first 1:30 minutes because it just ain't what it seems. Super wit!

Stumbled Upon

I just went down the cyber-rabbit hole and discovered that Preston Thomas Tucker made some sweet vehicles that supposedly got shut down by the big three automakers. Big surprise. But what a beautiful ride!

Blackhawk Auto Museum
It tickled my brain because Thomas is in Tucker which is next to Preston. Alas, no relation.

I think he really means "Ah, screw it."

This is too good!!!!!!!!! Colbert jumps on board with climate change who-gives-a-crap and well-what-can-we-do-about-it-anyhow GOPers.

Here is the link if the video doesn't work.

This clip may go down in history as pretty perfect...but the climate change deniers will surely go down in history as blatant liars, cheats, and sell-outs that had so much dirty money in their mouths that they literally don't care a lick about solutions to problems but love plain old greed. Somebody reliable told me that every other nation in the world with a Conservative party acknowledges climate change and are working towards, well, trying to deal with it (as opposed to curling up with the cheesy food). Mind you, this is across the bi-partisan gap, a similar gap that we have, just not as insanely irrational and unscientific. Perhaps some of them will care for the health of people and planet and not just enjoy being beholden to interests that don't help people and planet. Perhaps...but for now, they make great fodder for comedy shows.
